"Images of April" is a beautiful, breezy daydream, perfect psychedelic spring soundtrack. My favorite song on the album and my favorite song written by Tom Rapp. My favorite Pearls Before Swine record.
I love this album so much. I found the vinyl at an old thrift shop and discovered it was haunted lmao.... it’s a crazy long story but nonetheless I love this so much
One of the best albums ever. SO far ahead of its time, I've never even heard anything quite like this since. (other than These Things Too and The Use Of Ashes)
Maravilloso album. Music and art album cover: "The front cover is a detail of The Triumph of Death by Pieter Brueghel the Elder, showing a grotesque allegorical depiction of the horrors of war, while the back cover showed a photograph of a young girl at an anti-war protest taken by Mel Zimmer. The cover also included the quote "Only the dead have seen the end of war" by George Santayana, together with surreal and horrific drawings by avant-garde artist Jean Cocteau. The cover contributed to the mystique surrounding the group: few if any photographs of its members were published, and Pearls Before Swine did not perform in concert until 1971". (from Wikipedia)

A friend of mine & i went to this maze of a local second hand goods store on a whim just to have a gander and found this record in a crate of them and i was mesmerized by the art on it but realized the folder was empty, when we walked up to the cashier and told them it was empty they told me i could have the folder, and now that ive listened to it’s beautiful haunting soundscapes, i need the actual record. (Ill also have to buy a record player)
Oh you're a bigger man than I am, I couldn't make it that far! Reminiscent of the minstrual on the stairway and John Belushi in animal House. This is a great scale of reference for what is truly good music, makes you appreciate it. I don't believe they made the capital label...
